Who is Daisy?
I’m Daisy A. Fofie. My inspiration for becoming a fashion designer dates back to my days as a little girl in Cameroon, watching my mother design and sew clothes. From the age of 7, I started using her leftover scraps to design my own clothes.
Nearly a decade later, my family immigrated to the United States and I began pursuing my dreams as a student at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. In 2012, I took a leap of faith, and moved to Los Angeles, where I received my BFA in Fashion Design.
After several years of working in the fashion industry, I decided to launch my own brand, Azalé.
What is Azalé?
Azalé is actually my middle name. It’s derived from a Mmouck phrase which means “she has risen.” It’s where I draw inspiration each and every single day. It’s the dream of a little girl from Cameroon. It’s the culmination of years of practice and precision.
Azalé blends traditional African flair with modern simplicity.
We offer designs for both men and women. From swim-wear, ready-to-wear, couture, and custom made, we do it all.
